THE PRACTICAL PERSPECTIVE
Overall review.
Choose the format before the features
A neckband keeps the two earpieces attached to a band, so it offers a different routine from putting loose earbuds into a charging case. Consider what you do during a typical transfer: taking audio off, putting it away and picking it up again. A neckband may suit that pattern, but the visible band and connecting wires are a carrying preference you should be comfortable with.
Treat endurance as a planning figure
OnePlus publishes up-to battery and quick-charge figures under laboratory conditions. Use them as context when comparing products, rather than as a promise for your own calls and music. Decide how and when you will recharge on the actual trip. We have not measured the Z3’s battery life or checked its charging performance with the chargers in this collection.
Call processing is different from listening ANC
Environmental noise processing for the microphone does not establish how much surrounding sound the listener will hear. If your goal is reducing travel noise, compare the available listening modes and try the ear-tip fit. We have not tested call recordings, sound balance or isolation. App-dependent sound features are worth trying with your own phone before deciding that they are essential.
